Sample resolution to circulated to unions in California. The resolution calls on union locals to send a letter of support to the South African Railway and Harbour Workers Union (SARHWU) and a financial donation at a time when 27,000 striking workers having been fired. SARHWU is one of the oldest non-racial trade unions in South Africa and has been subjected to terror and repression by the apartheid government since its birth. The resolution also calls for a letter to South African State President de Klerk condemning their violence and strikebreaking actions.
