A petition, following the release of Nelson Mandela from prison, supports conditions for negotiations with the South African government to establish a non-racial democracy in South Africa set by the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC). The conditions include: 1) release of all political prisoners and detainees; 2) the end of the State of Emergency; 3) repeal of all repressive legislation; 4) halt of all political trials; and 5) removal of all troops from the townships.
