Leaflet advertising an event featuring Dr. Georges Ntalaja-Nzongola of the African Studies and Research Program, Howard University sponsored by the Washington Office on Africa (WOA) at the United Methodist Building on February 11, 1992. Dr. Nzongola will reflect on recent events in Zaire and discuss the contours of current U.S. policy to Zaire. He is a Zairian exile, is a member of the opposition, and is in daily contact to the Zairian pro-democracy movement. The leaflet asks whether President Mobutu control the Zairian military and whether the U.S. policy be shifted to prevent Zaire from becoming a repeat of Somalia or Liberia.
