The leaflet asks for a $5 donation at a fundraiser for Dennis Brutus' Legal Defense on November 6 at the home of Johnnetta Cole in Amherst. Art Serota will give an update on the case, and Dennis Brutus and Andrew Salkey will read their poetry. Brutus is presently a visiting Professor of Writing at Amherst College. He was exiled from South Africa for organizing against apartheid. Brutus faces the threat of deportation by U.S. Immigration.
