The United Nations Security Council Committee that was established is pursuance of resolution 253 (1968) concerning the question of Southern Rhodesia issued a communiqué saying that the Committee has received a report from the U.S. government listing six shipments of Rhodesian minerals from April 1 to June 30, 1972 in violation of U.N. sanctions against Southern Rhodesia. The Committee also received information from the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) reporting that two further similar shipments had arrived at the port of Baltimore about July 15 and August 1, 1972. The Security Council Committee is seeking confirmation of these latest shipments from the U.S. Government.
