Leaflet advertising a rally on March 3, 1974 at NMU Hall at Broadway and Fairmont. Representatives from Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU), Militant Action Dockers, Congressman Parren Mitchell, Bill Booth, Maryland Delegate Kenneth Webster, and Phillip Berrigan will be present. The film "A Luta Continua" will be shown. Sponsors are International Longshoremen's Association (ILA), American Committee on Africa (ACOA), and American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). For the last two years, Baltimore longshoremen and their supporters have been boycotting imports from racist Rhodesia. Last December 12, Local 333 ILA dockworkers refused to unload 20 tons of nickel from the African Sun. This ship, owned by Farrell Lines, is returning to Baltimore this month from Africa. Farrell will attempt to unload some 20 tons of nickel in Baltimore. ILA Local 333 dockers have said they will stop the African Sun from unloading the nickel. The leaflet invites people to this event to find out why the boycott of Rhodesian imports is so important and why the struggle of black Zimbabweans is our struggle too.
