Leaflet produced as part of a divestment campaign at Columbia University reports on recent government violence toward the black population in South Africa. Last year, hundreds of people blockaded Hamilton Hall to protest Columbia's $32 million invested in South Africa, and, despite worsening violence in South Africa, the university still has $28 million invested in companies there. The current situation in South Africa demands an urgent response. The leaflet quotes Martin Luther King, Jr.: "This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism."
