Gail Hovey; The Africa Fund
New York, New York, United States
Undated, early 1984
4 pages
This fundraising brochure for projects supporting Namibian and South African refugees reports on a Gail Hovey's visit in late January 1984 to the Nyango camp in Zambia, where 5,000 Namibian refugees live and a day care center for children of South African refugees is operated by the African National Congress. The brochure reports on SWAPO's commitment to care for its people and to educate and prepare them for an end to years in exile and for a new life in an independent Namibia that is free from South Africa's illegal military occupation.
