In the face of growing pressure from the United Nations to end its occupation of Namibia - but with support of a triple veto of stronger measures from the U.S., U.K., and France - South African expelled several church people from Namibia, including Mr. and Ms. Friede and Bishop Richard Wood and his wife (a U.S. citizen).
