Spanish language leaflet in support of Senate Bill 1138. The leaflet says the state of Massachusetts has $131 million of our tax money invested in banks and American corporations that are in South Africa. Translation of title: "Massachusetts aid for South Africa? NO! Support the bill S.B. 1138." [Note: Senate Bill 1138, which, if passed, would have required that money in the state employees' pension fund that is invested in banks and corporation that do business in South Africa be sold and reinvested in firms that do not do business in South Africa. Senate Bill 1138 was introduced in early 1981, and MASS Divest campaigned in support of the bill that year.]
