The leaflet discusses work of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) mobilizing for sanctions against South Africa and building a nationwide campaign to force corporations to pull out of South Africa. ACOA also has organized opposition to the Reagan administration's "constructive engagement" alliance with apartheid. ACOA also has supported legislation that would ban U.S. aid for the South African-sponsored UNITA rebels in Angola and a bill to speed independence in Namibia. ACOA has organized national campaigns to help free political prisoners and end political oppression, including that against students, clergy, trade unionists and political activists in detention in South Africa and Namibia.
