Description

Leaflet used to advertise Dumisani Kumalo as a speaker. The leaflet says Kumalo was a journalist in South Africa, working since 1965 for The Post Newspapers, Drum magazine, The World, and as chief reporter for the Johannesburg Sunday Times Extra (Black edition). He was a founder of the Union of Black Journalists, an organization active in the Black Consciousness Movement that was banned by the government in October 1977. Kumalo fled South Africa in June 1977 after being harassed by the police.
