Mailing for a conference of the Bank Campaign to be held in Minneapolis on July 21-22 that will deliberate on a number of crucial decisions that will affect the Campaign at a local, regional, national, and international level. The campaign is beginning to have a decisive impact on the banks and even on the South African government. Recently the United Nations Special Committee Against Apartheid held hearings on the Bank Campaign at which testimony was given by Rev. David Haslam from London, Pat Baker from Canada, George Houser from the American Committee on Africa and Tim Smith of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. Rev. Haslam called for international coordinated action.
