Reprint of an article in the New York Voice opposing sales of the Krugerrand in the U.S., saying buying South African gold is perhaps the most direct way to invest in the oppression and super-exploitation of apartheid. The article discusses the role of Doyle, Dane and Bernback (DDB). The article says the South African International Gold Corp. Ltd. retained a New York advertising agency to promote sales of gold coins to Americans. The article quotes Paul Kruger and notes that Black miners earn an average of 1/15 that of White miners and that trade unions and strikes are outlawed.
