This open letter to Donald B. Easum, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, protests the State Department's decision to arrange for the visit to the U.S. by C.P. Grobler, General Secretary of the South African Confederation of Labour. The Confederation is an all-white organization that stands for maintaining the supremacy of the white worker in South Africa. It is one of the bulwarks of the ruling Nationalist regime. The letter says Grobler's visit is an affront to all American trade unionists and all Americans opposing the racialist policies of apartheid.
