It is designed to provide assistance to student organizers in dealing with disciplinary and legal actions taken against them. The pamphlet describes the dramatic escalation in the breadth and intensity of student divestment protests in Spring 1985. Students placed renewed emphasis on direct action tactics, including building blockades, sit-ins, and occupations. More than 3,000 students were arrested in protests that sparked the spread of the movement and the achievement of full divestment at dozens of campuses.
