The press release says 14 colleges and universities took action to divest holdings in corporations aiding South Africa during the past academic year, with five of them completely ending their holdings in South Africa-linked companies. This brings campus divestment actions since 1977 to over $200 million - $57 million during the current academic year alone. Student protests escalated dramatically since the end of April. The press release includes Divestment Actions on South Africa by U.S. Colleges and Universities.
