Report about a conference in Philadelphia of about 20 people from groups working to stop imports from Rhodesia in five port cities (Boston, New York, Philly, Baltimore and Norfolk). Half a dozen active longshoreman attended. Tapson Maware of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) reported on the status of the struggle. Henry Lieberg of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) provided information about half-a-dozen suspect ships scheduled to dock in East Coast port cities soon. Christine Root of the Washington Office (WOA) reported about Rhodesian sanctions legislation in the U.S. Congress.
