Leaflet asking people to join an all-day solidarity fast on April 1 for "building on social structures for a non-racial society in South Africa, in our communities, and at Columbia Univ." The leaflet says that, last December, parents, students, and trade unions in South Africa resolved that the nationwide boycott of inferior black education will resume if by March 31 troops had not been completely withdrawn from the black townships. The leaflet quotes a statement of support by Desmond Tutu for Columbia University students blockading Mandela (Hamilton) Hall, some of whom are fasting and risking hospitalization.
