Report on a visit to Angola by M. Hershey Leaman, Food Aid Coordinator of the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). Leaman visited Angola as the request of the Council of Evangelical Churches in Angola (CAISE). Leaman was the only American member of an ecumenical team representing church agencies in Great Britain, Netherlands, Federal Republic of Germany, and Switzerland. The group of ecumenical guests visited five provences, including the war-torn provinces of Huambo and Bie. Leaman lists a series of specific observations. The one common agenda in Angola is war. Angola has in recent years become a battlefield not only among Angola factions, but also including USSR, Cuba, South Africa and USA....
