The letter says that Comrade Matteus Childende was assassinated by the Portuguese by a package bomb in the FRELIMO office in Lusaka, Zambia. The letter notes that the FRELIMO publication Mozambique Revolution said FRELIMO wanted to start a drive for portable short-wave radios to be distributed in the liberated areas. Therefore, the Committee for a Free Mozambique launched a campaign for transistor radios called "Project Transistors." A leaflet about this campaign is enclosed.
