Archbishop Desmond Tutu and four other pro-divestment petition candidates for the Harvard Board of Overseers will announce their three-continent slate during a meeting with the press at 12 noon (local time) on Thursday, March 9, 1989 at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa, in Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and in Bogota, Columbia. All five candidates are committed to rapid and complete divestment of Harvard's $230 million still invested in companies doing business in South Africa. This document includes biographical sketches of four of the candidates: Linda Davidoff, Dr. Ephraim Isaac, Robert B. Zevin, and Clara Lopez.
