Statement to the North American Anti-Imperialist Coalition (NAAIC) conference by the Liberation Resource Center. The Center is a non-profit, mobile bookstore that sells books, information packets, posters, records, and buttons and distributes free pamphlets, etc. from the liberation movements and research groups in the U.S., Canada, England, Holland, and elsewhere. All the materials focus on imperialism and liberation struggles. The Center hopes to expand efforts by research groups to make their literature available. The statement says the Center encourages individuals, groups, and colleges to sponsor LRC in their area. The statement says the truth about the involvement of the U.S. government and military, as well as the multinational corporations in these countries has always been purposely distorted so as to keep the American people ignorant. The Center combats the flow of misinformation by acting as a voice of the oppressed and exploited peoples of the undeveloped and presently struggling world and by disseminating their demands for control over their natural resources and for the right to self-determination. The Liberation Resource Center has two objectives. In addition to its educational goals, it encourages material support efforts (medical aid, clothing, war surplus, etc.) for the liberation movements while furthering a scientific understanding of the world so as to advance the anti-imperialist struggle.
