The newsletter reports that The Sunday Post of Soweto has launched a campaign for the release of Nelson Mandela of the African National Congress - serving a life sentence at the Robben Island prison colony, and other leaders in prison, and for the free return of those in exile. The Rev. Sam Buti and Bishop Desmond Tutu, president and general secretary respectively of the South African Council of Churches, endorsed the campaign started by Sunday Post editor Percy Qoboza.
