Undated, perhaps about September 1975?

The memorandum, presumably sent as a mailing, notes that the Committee for a Free Mozambique (CFM) was founded in 1970 to support the Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO) and to attack U.S. support of Portuguese colonialism. Since its founding CFM has remained a small, voluntary New York-based working group. CFM current has approximately a dozen active members and a national mailing list of about 500 people who receive News and Notes, our newsletter. In the wake of Mozambique Independence, CFM has decided to reexamine its activities and its overall support role. CFM members are currently engaged in a number of support projects.
