The leaflet reports the House Foreign Affairs Committee reported out favorably the Senate-passed bill to restore U.S. compliance with Rhodesian sanctions (S. 1868). A House vote could come by the end of July, and a strong constituency effort is now needed. The leaflet reports on the obstructionist tactics that were used to try and prevent the bill from being reported out of the Committee and pressure by the stainless steel industry to oppose the re-imposition of sanctions. Contents:THE FIGHT IN THE COMMITTEE • COMMITTEE VOTE TALLY • THE HARD PART IS JUST AHEAD: SUMMER ACTION IS NEEDED
