The mailing reports that communications to the State Department are overwhelmingly against U.S. application of sanctions against Rhodesia. March 13-19 has been named by the Consultative Council on South Africa as an emphasis week on South Africa. Minter hopes that local groups around the country will alert the public about the urgent situation in South Africa, in the hope of having some impact on U.S. policy. The NSCF Committee on Southern Africa is cooperating on the emphasis week with the National Newman Student Federation, the National Federation of Catholic College Students, and the United States National Student Association.
