Plans for Emphasis Week on South Africa at Columbia University and a March 19 SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) picket at Chase Manhattan Bank were discussed. Teachers College and Union Theological Seminary are also mentioned. Also discussed plans for a March 29 demonstration cosponsored by the South West African Students Union and the NSA at UN Plaza focusing attention on the deplorable conditions in South West Africa (Namibia) and a call for American support in gaining independence from South Africa.
