This leaflet, issued on National Divestment Protest Day, notes that IBM has closed its offices throughout the country. The leaflet says: "Could it be that IBM is trying to hide it's hands dirtied by immoral involvement in South Africa? Today, we demand that IBM remove it's investments from the oppressive apartheid regime of South Africa." The leaflet quotes from the pamphlet Automating Apartheid published by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). For a report on the demonstration in Portland see "Police arrest dozen to end anti-apartheid demonstration at IBM offices," The Oregonian, April 5, 1986.
