The leaflet says the hearings will be held at the New York City Commission on Human Rights. The leaflet says come to the hearings - join with others to protest Chase Manhattan's policies at home and abroad. The leaflet says their case was part of the resolutions adopted by the Committee of the Black Power Conference held in Newark, N.J. in July, and was presented at the International Seminar on Apartheid, Racial Discrimination, and Colonialism by James Forman, Director on International Affairs, New York. The leaflet says in 1959 Chase granted a $10 million loan to the South African Government for three years, and granted revolving credit of $8.5 million to the South African Industrial Development Corporation. The leaflet says in addition Chase has been a leader in the 10 bank consortium loaning $40 million worth of revolving credit to the South African Government; this loan was last renewed in January, 1967 for 1 year, and will probably by renewed again in January. The leaflet says although the Bank no longer has branch banks in South Africa, Standard Bank with which it merged, still does maintain branches. The leaflet discusses Jackie Robinson, David Rockefeller, the Organization for Self-Improvement, S.N.C.C. (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, SNCC), C.O.R.E. (Congress of Racial Equality, CORE), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, Janet MacLaughlin, racism, black employees, and discriminatory practices.
