Invitation to a presentation by Nicholas Haysom sponsored by the Southern Africa Project of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law on December 10 at the Russell Senate Office Building. Haysom is a partner in the Johannesburg-based law firm of Cheadle, Thompson and Haysom, which focuses primarily on trade union and human rights cases. Haysom has written extensively on human rights in South Africa and the law. He was jailed without charge and held in solitary confinement in 1978, 1980, and 1981-82 and was restricted under a banning order from 1982-1983.
