Mailing to the Executive Committee and Board from Executive Director Ed Ferguson, who sounds an alarm about the status of ACAS. He says ACAS has been inactive except for the Bulletin, membership has declined, over half of leadership positions must be filled, and some Board members are not responsive. It will require hard work to reverse this decline and put ACAS back on track at the ASA meeting in St. Louis. A schedule of ACAS events at that meeting is enclosed. Major agenda items are the proposals on staffing ACAS and alternatives for our future prepared by the "New Blood Committee" which was appointed in Baltimore. David Wiley is sending these.
