The mailing describes the growing debt facing the Committee of Returned Volunteers (CRV) and asks for a donation. Staff have not been paid for five weeks. The shortage is a result of an expanded program which requires an income greater than last year's. There are two impacts affecting work on Southern Africa. The next issue of the CRV newsletter, which focuses on Southern Africa, is finished but cannot be sent to the printer. Also, funds are not available to pay for the project coordinator working on Southern Africa to travel to chapters. Many other program cuts due to the deficit are described, including CRV's participation in the Mobe's Spring Offensive against the Vietnam War.
