Jemadari agreed, but also said such an event must also be educational. Jemadari met with Charles Ogletree about the proposal to use cable access television to broaden TransAfrica Boston's membership and the reach of its political programs. He reported that two meetings have been held and more are planned between TransAfrica and members of the Haitian community in DC, New York, Miami, Chicago and elsewhere. Dessima Williams, Co-chair of the New England Observers' Delegation to Haiti, asked the Chapter to support a third delegation to Haiti on February 5, 1994. On January 14--16, 1994, the Aristide Government sponsored a conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami; the original theme of the conference was "Democracy: The Solution for the Refugee Crisis." Jemadari had been invited by James Scott to attend a formative meeting of a New England Region Chapter of the Constituency for Africa (CFA), a coalition of African-American and other organizations. Randall Robinson was scheduled to speak at Northeastern University Law School. The Coalition for a Strong United Nations is sponsoring a conference on "Peacekeeping and Peacemaking: Empowering the United Nations to Prevent Future Hostilities" on February 12, 1994 at the John F. Kennedy Library. Due to the snow storm, it has been rescheduled for March 12. The minutes mention Magueye Seek, Byron Rushing, Pat Jehlen, the Governors' Island Agreement, the Clinton Administration, the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), Africare House, Melvin Foote, Andrew Young, Adekeye Adebajo, Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law, and Roxbury Community College.
