This is the seventh in a series of reflections on the Millennium Development Goals originally prepared for the Cambridge Consultation at the 2003 General Convention of the Episcopal Church. The newsletter says the U.S. is pressing aggressively for an economic agenda that is indifferent to the needs and hopes of much of the rest of the world. The newsletter discusses deforestation, environmental sustainability, sustainable development, Charles Taylor, President Bush, safe drinking water, the World Bank, the IMF (International Monetary Fund), carbon dioxide emissions, eastern Congo, global warming, New Orleans, timber, and endangered species.
