TransAfrica, formed in July 1, 1977, informs and organizes popular opinion in the U.S. to advocate policies and practices, both governmental and nongovernmental, to help to achieve a more progressive U.S. foreign policy toward the nations of Africa and the Caribbean and the people of African descent generally throughout the world, consistent with the responsible fulfillment of an enlighten foreign policy.
