The leaflet says the Board of the Washington Office on Africa endorsed two key foci for the next several years: development assistance and U.S.-Africa trade relations. In January 2004, representatives of WOA partner organizations considered how two frameworks – supporting the launch of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Campaign and a 0.7% initiative - might enhance advocacy work. They also agreed that these MDG/7% frameworks provide a new opportunity to advance a more visionary agenda for development assistance.
