The letter says the resolution will first be considered by the National Association of Black County Officials (NABCO), the black caucus of NACO, at its business meeting 6ri Sunday, August 7; Hilda Pemberton, the President of NABCO, has agreed to bring it up before NABCO; if NABCO passes it, which appears highly likely, the resolution will then be considered by the entire conference of NACO; we feel that the resolution has a good possibility of passing if, in addition to the support of NABCO, we have support from various county officials across the country. The letter says I would like to ask your assistance by contacting your local county officials who will be in attendance at the Anaheim meeting and would be most likely to support this resolution; we would like these officials to not only support and vote for the resolution but also to speak out in favor of it when it comes before the floor of the conference.
