The mailing says this is a reminder that the next steering committee meeting of the Chicago-Alexandra Sister Community Project will take place on Sunday, July 12, 1992 6:00 PM at the First Church of the Brethren. The mailing says enclosed are the minutes of our last meeting; please note that the steering committee will elect leadership for the next year at this meeting; steering committee members have agreed to attend at least half of the regular meetings of the Project (on the second Sunday of each month); also, Project committee chairs are responsible to make a report at each meeting. The mailing says now more than ever, we must show our support for the people of South Africa in this final, difficult stage of their struggle against apartheid; the Sister Community Project provides a unique way to support and impact the development of non-racial democracy in South Africa; we encourage your active participation. The mailing says we are enclosing information regarding letters requested by the African National Congress in response to the recent Boipatong massacre; please support Nelson Mandela in his call for an international peace keeping force in South Africa; the violence in Alexandra and all the townships of South Africa must be stopped. The mailing says I look forward to seeing you at the July 12th meeting. The mailing discusses the African National Congress (ANC).
