At the Steering Committee meeting on June 11, South African community leader Mzwanele Mayekiso will report on some of his recent activities in the Midwest. Forty local union affiliates have endorsed the resolution regarding violence in South Africa and asking for continued sanctions; others are asked to adopt the resolution. Also, letters to Senator Dixon and our Congressmen regarding sanctions are being collected. People are asked to publicize the 3rd annual Soweto Day Walkathon on June 15.
