Mailing urging people to attend the Annual Soweto Day Walkathon on June 12 to raise money for voter education in South Africa. The next Steering Committee meeting is on June 22 at Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union (ACTWU), when we will plan for a small delegation to go to South Africa to build union-to-union relations between unions there and in the Midwest. The mailing thanks people for writing to President Clinton about the expected elections in South Africa this year; we've forwarded nearly a thousand letters to the White House with copies to Senators Carol Moseley Braun and Paul Simon.
