Reminder to Steering Committee members of the Illinois Labor Network Against Apartheid about meeting on August 11. South African labor representative Nomonde Ngubo is expected to attend the meeting. The agenda includes strategy and plans for the Shell boycott and for a concert next Spring to benefit South African trade unions. While she is in the Midwest, Ngubo will speak at a United Auto Workers (UAW) conference in Ottawa, Illinois and will visit and/or contact labor folks in the Quad Cities, Danville, Champaign and Springfield areas in an effort to get the Shell boycott rolling throughout Illinois.
