Mailing to Steering Committee members of the Illinois Labor Network Against Apartheid. William Adelman, Professor of Labor and Industrial Relations at the University of Illinois, will join us on June 13 to help with planning of our education program this year. A draft letter to unions about the education program is enclosed for comments. Education and outreach to local unions is the top priority for the coming year. September 9 will be an "educate ourselves" meeting. People are reminded to mobilize folks for the June 17 Soweto Day Rally at the Hayes Center. The mailing mentions ACTWU (Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union).
