The mailing says that Hinyangerwa Asheeke, a UN-based SWAPO representative, has outlined four areas he hopes Bay Area ·activists can take up: (1) pressure the U.S. government to support the terms of U.N. Resolution 435; (2) urge U.S. media to see that the American public is interested in Namibian independence; (3) raise funds, especially to repatriate refugees and exiles; and (4) send a group of election monitors to Namibia from the Bay Area.
