The leaflet says the bank industry is highly concentrated; of approximately 14,000 U.S. banks , international lending is dominated by 21, sometimes only eight banks. Banks are both racist and sexist in their hiring. The document discusses commercial banks, non-union, banks' disinterest in investing in the U.S. to help solve domestic problems, redlining, loans or mortgages to homeowners, whites, minorities, small businesses, churches, and community organizations. [Note on date: the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) and the Committee to Oppose Bank Loans to South Africa (COBLSA) moved from 305 East 46 Street in early 1979.]
