Text of a declaration presented in a scroll to the leaders of Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union of South Africa (ACTWUSA) on October 6, 1988. It was presented by Elcosie Gresham on behalf of the Illinois Labor Network Against Apartheid (ILNAA) at a reception given by ACTWU in Chicago. The declaration expresses the commitment of ILNAA to demand the release of Moses Mayekiso and all political prisoners, protest South African government attacks on COSATU (Congress of South African Trade Unions), expose corporations who profit from economic ties to South Africa and exploit African workers, and demand Comprehensive Mandatory Sanctions against South Africa.
