Mailing by the UPCAAR COMMITTEE TO OPPOSE BANK LOANS TO SOUTH AFRICA urges people to withdraw accounts from banks to protest their loans to South Africa. Enclosed form letters to the president of the bank and local branch manager suggest how to express your reason for closing your account. A third form letter, appropriate for banks not currently making loans to South Africa, requests them to make a public statement promising not to make loans there. You might want to suggest ways loan money could be put to good use in your own neighborhood.
