The people of South Africa are still struggling against colonization; the African National Congress (ANC), which represents the aspirations of the overwhelming majority of the people, was founded in 1912 at a conference in Bloemfontein. The pamphlet discusses European settlement, Boers, the British, the Cape Western Plateau, oppression, demonstrations, strikes, passive resistance, King Edward VII, testimonies, petitions, white minority rule, the South African Act of Union, the British parliament, the South African white parliament, the Treaty of Vereeniging, the Anglo-Boer war, miners, the Industrial Workers of Africa, trade unions, the pass book, an anti-pass campaign led by the Bantu Women's League of South Africa, the ANC Women's League, the ANC Youth League, a general strike against all discriminatory laws and for full rights, the Federation of South African Women (FEDSAW), the apartheid system, self-determination, the racist South African government, the Sharpeville Massacre, Cliptown, the South African Indian Congress, the Coloured Peoples Organization, SACTU (South African Congress of Trade Unions), the Congress of Democrats, Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation), Oliver Tambo, guns, Vorster, Nelson Mandela, the Rivonia trial, sentenced to life in prison, the Soweto uprising, the South African liberation struggle, and the United Democratic Front (UDF).
