The mailing says a coalition of black and white faculty and students concerned about Apartheid and U.S. policy towards South African formed the Hunter College Free South African Committee. The Committee's objective is to organize a series of speakers, panels, films etc. on South Africa for the Hunter community, for which the Faculty Delegate Assembly has given $500. The group believes that Hunter should be a center for Anti-Apartheid activities. Kwame Tolliver was an active part of the coalition, but he can no longer able to do so. The Committee is reaching out to seek participation of black clubs in the coalition. [Note: The correct spelling of the name is Carolyn Somerville.]
