Memorandum from Simeon White about a conference on May 11-12 of people working to stop imports from Rhodesia, including people from Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Norfolk. The objectives are to bring together representatives of the coalitions and longshoremen from the different cities, to develop a network of communication and contacts, and to define a coordinated strategy and set of tactics for the Coalition. Each group is asked to send two to four representatives; a tremendous effort should be made to send longshoremen to the conference, also. The meeting will be held at the office of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) in Philadelphia.
